I am the last large commercial beekeeper in the state of Alabama. I am a member of Sioux honey ass. We are not always successful in removing the bees out of the supers while harvesting. So they end up in the processing plant with a whole bunch of pissed off employees not to name the bees!. So instead of blowing them out at the plant, we shall try sucking them out using your product.
As a fellow beekeeper understand your plight.
As a practice have found that taking the honey near the end of the nectar flow has made our operation run smoother. Leaves nectar for the bees, happy bees happy employees, feeding less overwinter. Less robbing.
Commercially this is not a perfect science, dificult, as you know weather plays such a huge part. We use a cordless blower in the field to clear our supers. Nothing you probably dont already know.
Best wishes

Looking for a plan for D. Coates 5 frame nuc … but for a medium top box.
Kevin,
5 frame medium is too small for a nuc box unless you are using it as a mating nuc. If this is the case I would recommend the 4-way mating nuc as a better option. If you are looking to put a medium on top of the 5 frame deep, you can use the width/depth dimension from the 5 frame deep nuc and the height dimension from the 8 frame medium nuc.
